Privacy & your data

What we collect

• What you write.Your notes and replies are public by design. Please don't include details that identify you or someone else unless you mean to.
• An optional name and email. Both are optional. An email is used only to let you know when someone replies and to send you a link back to your note.
• Your IP address, briefly.Used to limit spam and abuse and to show crisis helplines for your country. It isn't shown publicly or used to profile you.
• A little on your own device.Aglow remembers the notes you've written and the ones you've hearted by saving them in your browser. That stays on your device, isn't sent to us as a profile, and clears if you clear your browser data.

Who it's shared with

We don't sell your data or use advertising trackers. A small number of providers process data so the site can run:

• Vercel: hosting, country-level location (servers in the EU/US), and privacy-friendly usage counts (see below).
• Cloudflare Turnstile: a privacy-friendly check that you're human when posting.
• Our database and email provider: to store notes and send reply notifications.

How we measure use

We keep a simple, anonymous count of how many people visit and which pages they see, so we know Aglow is reaching people and where to improve it. This uses no cookies and no tracking across other sites, and it doesn't build a profile of you. Because nothing is stored on your device for this, there's no cookie banner to click through.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete what relates to you, including taking down a note. Just email hello@aglow.ink. If you're in the EU/UK you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. Aglow is based in Croatia, where that authority is AZOP.
