Community guidelines
Aglow only works because people are gentle with each other. These are the few rules that keep it a safe place to set something down and to answer someone who has.
When you reply
- Be kind, always. Warmth over cleverness. A short, caring reply is worth more than the perfect one.
- Listen more than you advise.Don't give advice unless it's asked for. Being heard is often enough.
- Never judge or minimise.No “others have it worse”. Every hard thing is allowed here.
What's not okay
- Cruelty, harassment, hate, or threats of any kind.
- Encouraging self-harm or harm to others.
- Sharing anyone's private information, including your own safety.
- Spam, advertising, or anything unlawful.
Looking out for each other
Use the report option on anything cruel or harmful and a moderator will take a look. If someone sounds like they're in crisis, be gentle and point them to the helplines in the support panel at the bottom of the screen. These rules connect to our terms of use.
